Altran Praxis has always recognised the value and importance of transferring knowledge. One of the most effective mechanisms for this is a professional training course delivered by skilled and experienced presenters.
Over the years Praxis has delivered many hundreds of advanced training courses covering both Praxis proprietary technologies, for example SPARK, and more general training related to our services.
We offer both public training courses and client-based training that can incorporate customisation to client requirements. Some courses are industry sector specific, others are generally applicable.

Safety training on the London Underground
Challenge
Metronet with London Underground have embarked upon a series of major signalling upgrades to improve the London Underground service. The vital
safety management associated with these works is based upon the UK
rail sector
Yellow Book. This required Metronet to bring a large number of engineers and managers up to speed with Yellow Book content and application. Metronet needed an ongoing programme of Yellow Book training aimed specifically at their application.
Praxis has been able to provide on-site training to Metronet with adaptation of the training material to fit their objectives. The courses have been delivered by Praxis staff with first hand experience of safety engineering and assurance as applied to London Underground signalling projects.
Outcome
Over 100 Metronet Engineers and Managers have successfully completed the two-day course in Rail Engineering Safety Management.
