Altran becomes a "strategic supplier" of PSA Peugeot Citroen
As part of the Performance Plan 2012, PSA Peugeot Citroen has selected the
Altran Group as its strategic partner in the field of automobile product and
process design.
This decision is part of the strategy adopted by PSA Peugeot Citroen and its partners to
improve their operational efficiency, develop their international activity, accelerate
innovation and ensure responsible development.
This status reasserts one of the major elements of the Altran Group's strategic plan
presented last October by Philippe Salle CEO: that of becoming the strategic partner of 20
key accounts.
At a time when the company is reducing its sub-contracting activities, the new "PSA Peugeot
Citroen Strategic Partner" label ensures, for the companies selected, a greater visibility of
their activity with the group which is necessary to pursue our investment plan in automobile
innovation.
"It is greatly satisfying for us to accompany the PSA Peugeot Citroen group in a rapidly
changing market where the concept of strategic supplier is of the utmost importance. PSA
Peugeot Citroen has placed its trust in us as an industrial partner to offer excellence in
collaborating on major critical projects through the work of our best engineers. This enables
us to consolidate our position as a leader in performance and innovation, a strategic partner
in the major global industries," declares Cyril Roger, Executive Vice-President for France and
Southern Europe.
The R&D Division is now relying on its strategic engineering partners to provide PSA Peugeot
Citroen with complete engineering solutions which go far beyond the subcontracting
arrangements of the past.
