Altran Praxis joins Genivi Infotainment Alliance
Innovation and embedded experience drives open automotive infotainment platform.
Altran Praxis, the international specialist in embedded and critical systems engineering, today announced that has joined the GENIVI Infotainment Alliance as a Core Member. The Alliance was founded by leading automotive manufacturers and suppliers to foster the development and adoption of an open In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) reference platform.
As a core member Altran Praxis will share its extensive experience in infotainment architecture and development, automotive connectivity, telematics and Human Machine Interface (HMI) with the Alliance. This will lead to potentially faster vehicle integration and market introduction of GENIVI-based infotainment solutions.
"Altran Praxis has joined the GENIVI Alliance to collaborate with other industry leaders in the development of a reliable, open in-vehicle infotainment platform," said Keith Williams, Altran Praxis Managing Director. "GENIVI’s collaborative development approach allows us to create unique and differentiated products and services that will facilitate reusability and productivity, thus reducing time to market and cost. The combination of our experience in innovation and embedded systems engineering is particularly relevant to drive the GENIVI Alliance forward."
IVI is a rapidly growing and evolving field that includes automotive infotainment products and services such as music, news, internet and multimedia, navigation and location and telephony.
